Exciting August Updates to Microsoft Copilot

At SECURE ITnet’s Microsoft Center of Excellence, we are thrilled to share the latest updates to Microsoft Copilot that rolled out in August. These enhancements are designed to boost productivity, streamline workflows, and improve user experience across various platforms. Let’s dive into the key updates:

GitHub Copilot

Interactive Chat: Developers can now enjoy new chat features in Visual Studio, along with updates to the chat experience in Visual Studio Code. These enhancements make it easier to interact with Copilot, providing a more intuitive coding experience.

Expanded Context Window: The context window has been enhanced to provide more relevant information during coding sessions. This means Copilot can offer better suggestions and support, making your coding process smoother and more efficient.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Admin & Management: August saw the introduction of a Risk Assessment QuickStart Guide, helping administrators quickly assess and mitigate risks. Additionally, sentiment survey integration with Viva Glint and Viva Pulse allows for better employee feedback and engagement tracking.

Language Support: Microsoft 365 Copilot now supports 12 new languages, along with improvements to existing ones. This expansion ensures that more users can benefit from Copilot’s capabilities in their preferred language.

Microsoft Copilot for Security

Device Query Integration: A significant update in August is the public preview of Copilot in Microsoft Intune’s device query page. This feature allows users to generate KQL queries using natural language, simplifying the process of querying device data and enhancing security management.

These updates reflect Microsoft’s commitment to continuously improving Copilot, making it an indispensable tool for developers, administrators, and security professionals alike. Stay tuned for more exciting updates from SECURE ITnet’s Microsoft Center of Excellence!
